Harrachov is mainly the centre of winter sports and recreation.
On the shoulder of Čertova hora there have been built several downhill courses, vary from easy to difficult, there are several ski jumps including the mammoth one and cross country race trails.
Downhill courses, that are managed by Sports area Harrachov a.s., are equipped with modern system of artificial snow that enables to go skiing up to 5 months a year. There are also several cross-country rails that are marked as the ones for tourist’s use and there is also large cross-country race trail. Harrachov as one of few Krkonoše´s winter resorts enables to go snowboarding on all downhill courses and they can use all cableways and ski lifts.
Directly in Harrachov you can find several ski schools that have had wide experience with training in downhill or cross-country skiing.
The ones who come to Harrachov without skis can visit several ski rentals that offer more than 6000 pairs of skis in total and you also have a possibility to have a complete service done concerning ski equipment. In Harrachov important winter sport’s championships take place.
The main competitions are annual important ski jump championships including the ones that are part of World Cup or even World championship.
