Difficulty: a medium demanding route
Route description:
The route starts again in Harrachov, Nový Svět, at the Motejlek Hotel – at the petrol station. Follow the minor road along a 150 m incline, and then turn left, below the shop in the settlement. From the Forestry School, follow the blue tourist sign through the Anenské Valley, as far as the chair lift in the middle of the town. Take the chair lift to the top of the Čertova Mountain. Of course, you can change the start of the route, using different spots in the town. Follow the blue tourist sign then, almost along the contour line; along the Janova Rock, situated about 200 m from the road rightwards; through Studenov, as far as the crossroad Ručičky. From there, gradually ascend, following the green tourist sign along the Krakonošova Road, as far as Dvoračky. Then, follow the red tourist sign, gradually ascending towards the crossroad Růženčina zahrádka.
From there, follow the green tourist sign along the so-called Česká Road – on the right, there is Harrachova louka (the meadow). Go on, to the crossroad “U Čtyř pánů”, situated almost on a plain. When the weather is nice, there are spectacular views of the surroundings - especially both the Czech, and Polish, parts of the Giant Mountains.
At the crossroad follow the blue tourist sign, at first almost along the contour line, then gradually descending, as far as the crossroad Krakonošova snídaně, near the Mumlavský stream. From there, take the asphalt road downhill; follow the blue tourist sign as far as the Mumlavská hut, near the Mumlava Waterfall.
Now you can either follow the blue sign as far as Harrachov; or turn left and follow the yellow tourist sign - which then becomes the red tourist path, almost at the end of the road - to Nový Svět in Harrachov, the beginning of the trip.
