Route description:
Harrachov, Nový Svět. The route begins again in Harrrachov, Nový Svět at the Motejlek Hotel. From the major road, go leftwards along the minor road, and below the shop in the settlement to the right. Ride on through the An
Anenské Valley (past the chair lift to the Čertova Mountain), to the road leading through Harrachov. There, turn left, and at the entrance of the bus station, go right again, crossing the bridge over the Mumlava River. Now follow the green tourist sign to Rýžoviště. From Rýžoviště, go on along the very pleasant, so-called Krakonošova Road; at first to the Zátiší Restaurant near the wood, and from there slightly climbing to the crossroad Ručičky. This stage also follows the green tourist sign. At the crossroad turn left, and slightly incline gradually, as far as Dvoračky.
Dvoračky, the hut. Behind the hut, turn left along the red tourist signpost, then steeply downwards to the crossroad in Sedlo pod Dvoračkami. There, go left along the green tourist sign, or straight on along the better road. However, after you have arrived at the road, turn left.
Rezek, the settlement, the crossroad. Behind the buffet go right along the road, follow the green tourist sign as far as the end of the wood. There turn left, then take the first right, along the green tourist sign again. Behind Hejlov, go slightly downwards from the asphalt road to the right, as far as the crossroad below in Bratrouchov. At the crossroad, go on about 100 m below the large Omega Inn, which is situated right by the roadside. Turn left from the green tourist sign, and ride along the road as far as the major road near to the Jizera River. There, turn left, and behind Hradsko (it is situated to the right behind the river), take a long left turning right, across an old bridge – it can be seen from the road. Go along the slightly rising narrow road, but soon turn right along the yellow tourist sign. Ride along the built-up forest road as far as the Nístějka Castle ruin – it is situated close to the road.
Nístějka, the castle ruin. After you have taken a view of the ruin, go on along the yellow tourist sign. The stony road is in a bad condition, and you might have to carry your bicycle partway. Steep climbing will soon change into a nicer road, and above we can turn right towards the Dykova Rock – it is signposted. Along the slightly elevating, road carry on as far as Vysoké nad Jizerou.
Vysoké nad Jizerou, the town. You will arrive along the road past the church, towards the museum and turn right in The Square. Go straight on across The Square, past the ski resort Šachty, without turning as far as the crossing in Sklenařice, to the Mexiko Restaurant. Follow the road straight ahead, slightly rising to the next crossing for about 1.5 km. There, turn right, and ride towards the next crossing. Turn left, and ride to the church and museum in Paseky.
Paseky nad Jizerou, the settlement. Ahead of the church, turn right, steeply downwards to the road which is crossed with another road, about 500 m below. There, turn left and follow the blue tourist sign, so-called Planýrka, almost along the contour line as far as the crossroad in Mýto. Take the familiar road back to the start of the route.
